I am thinking of writing an e-book on plumbing what-to-do's & what not to do with the plumbing in your home.
Plumbers make money on mistakes people make using certain cleaning products & drain cleaners, for instance.

Does that sound like a worthwhile pursuit?

My husband is a plumber of 20 years & has alot of info for preventative maintenance on plumbing fixtures, I thought people might like to know, because plumbers are not cheap!

Anything that would save people money on repairs in their homes is worth doing. And I agree plumbers are expensive. So go for it and make good use of 20 years of experience.Good luck with it.

Good idea, preventative maintenance ( for anything) is always a good idea, but a lot of it has to do with the water that is used.
Hard water (depending on how much of it is used) will eventually wear the plumbing out. Then again the quality of the plumbing also matters , the stronger the material , the more useful it will be in the long run.

That would be a great idea! I would definately buy it if it had fairly clear pictures (if it was even remotely difficult) and maybe geared toward woman. Could have pics of u doing it...I know woman are fully capable of that stuff but often doubt themselves and its so much easier to just 'get a man since its a man thing'

sounds good to me, but then again I'm not a plumber and my financial security doesn't depend on other peoples needs of my plumbing service.

good idea but i dont think plumbing alone will be interesting enough to sell your book. try including other aspects of your home find an electrician, painter, carpet cleaner etc. pick their brains and call a publisher.

I think it's a great idea. My husband was a plumber as well, and I think you should include all the dumb things people do to their pipes and such. For example, I didn't know you shouldn't flush tissues down the toilet!

I would read it!

When the plumber came and knocked out part of the wall to fix the shower, I wished he would have explained it before doing it!

Disclosing trade secrets of a group that knows how get rid of sh*t. Might be a big seller, but I would be careful where went alone.
