Is there anything I need to do with the dirt/soil in my yard before I deside to spread the ryegrass seeds? I'm not sure if I have to furtilize the soil or if there is ANYTHING in general that I should do so that when the grass begins to grow it's nice, green and healthy... what do I do now?!?!?!? HEEELLPPPP!!!!!!

We are going to be putting in ceramic tile. We tried to pull up the old linoleum but it just seemed to tear up the top layer and leave a thick layer of paper and sticky stuff that seems impossible to scrape up.....I also have small kids and pets that I dont want to use harsh chemicals if I dont have to

I planted 75 hyacinth bulbs last year and only ONE has sprouted. I thought that the bulbs had been planted too far in the ground, so I dug up the area and the bulbs are gone! What happened?

I have a large dead tree in my backyard that has a couple of limbs hanging over the neighbors yard. I have been wanting to remove the tree but he has an old junk car (not tagged or insured) underneath the limbs. A month ago, I asked if he could move the car so I could cut the tree down. He said the car has no engine. He brushed the question off and did not say yes or no. It would only be a matter of time before the whole tree came down and caused more damage so I decided to take the tree down with the car there. I told the neighbor they were coming to cut it down in 3 days.I had a friend cut it for me. They used a rope to lower the branches that were hanging over his car. While they were taking the branches off one of them fell and hit his car, and left a dent about the diameter of an orange. Am I going to have to repair this old piece of junk? The tree would have fell on it anyway, and he had the option to move th car and didnt. Car is worth maybe $500. He has no homeowners insurance.

My great-aunt told me that her father made a fortune raising goats and selling their manure for "medicinal purposes." I've heard of using manure for fertilizer and fuel but never for medicine. Can anyone shed some light on this? What ingredient in manure could be used in drugs?

I was planning on investing in one. I still wash floors the old fashioned way, on my hands and knees. I hate cleaning floors, but it has to be done. I clean my floors once a week, but would like something to use in between cleans. Does the Swiffer really work? Can you recommend something better?
Thanks for your help :)

i've taken out 32 cypress evergreens and now miss the privacy. I don't need complete privacy, filtered is fine. I'd like the height ideally around 5-6 feet and relatively low maintenance. Color is great. thanks!

I'm not the most handyman. But does anyone think I would be able to put a paver patio in my backyard myself. What would the difficulty rating be. As a 10 being impossible. And how long would it take to put a 30x12 patio in.
