We have just finished stripping old wallpaper off of the walls in a bathroom. The walls are not completely smooth. What should we use to prep them and smooth out the surface before priming (with a good primer) and painting? Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't recall seeing many examples of this and I'm wondering if there is a reason why it's not that commonly done. I've seen plenty of tarmac, paving and loose-gravel paths.
The multi-coloured decorative gravel I would like to use will be 6-12mm diameter grade.
Are decorative toppings prone to falling out after hardening?
If you've tried this yourself, have you got any tips? Does it have to be rolled in until it is flush with the surrounding concrete?
Do I need to make the concrete with a finer grade of builders gravel in order to allow the decorative gravel to sink sufficiently?

We just purchased a new home and the painter used flat paint on our kitchen's backsplash. Now he wants to charge us $300 to paint it again in high gloss so I can easily wash off spaghetti sauce splatters. I am looking for a product that we can paint ontop of our beautiful green color that will allow me to wash it. Any ideas?

Last year I bought an iris from an iris farm, The iris is supposed to bloom twice a year, in the fall and spring. It has been almost a year and still no blooms, but seems to me multiplying well. Should I did it up and transplant it to where it gets more sun, and is it okay to do this during this time of year? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm in a flat and it seems that whenever I or my neighbour puts hot water down the drain my drain seems to click incessantly for ages. It's linked somehow to the pipes but I can't seem to make it better. Any thoughts?

We have 2 black walnut trees with branches that run too vertical to attach any type of swing (the swing would be right against the tree), plus the branches are about 40 feet up. We were thinking about trying to do it between the 2 trees but don't want to damage them. The only plans I could find are for zip lines and entail drilling all the way through the tree. Any ideas for doing this in a tree-friendly way?

This may seem weird and/or impossible to most of you, but i need opinions?

I moved into my new house and the back garden has been laid full of chips (stones)

I am ABSOLUTELY PETRIFIED of spiders. I walked into my garden and took one step in and they are EVERYWHERE!! My partner said he went out and took one big stomp and seen hundreds.

I want to take my child outback to play but i cant! Is there anything I can do to move them along? lol

Anything i can plant etc to get them to just go away!!

Thank you :o)
