The cord constantly gets in my way. Does anyone know of maybe some sort or guide to keep it away from the mower?
Or some other strategy?

you start closest to the plug in and work your way back & forth to the farthest point away from the house. Hard to draw a diagram on here, but I will try. The ======== line represents the side of the house, the X is where the cord plugs in, and the >>>>>> arrows are the directions you mow in.

mow to left, then right, moving further away from the power source, that way the cord is always behind you, in the part already mowed. Hope it makes sense.

Its is really simple. Mow AWAY from the cord. I used an electric mower for years and learned that trick the very first time.

You have to mow away from the outlet the mower is plugged into and when you need to return, flick the cord away as you walk back.
Another way is get someone to hold the cord and move it as you cut.

It just takes a little practice to avoid cutting over the cord. It is not brain surgery.
