I am currently selling my house and their is an existing problem with my garage roof which needs replacing.Although the garage isnt joined to the house, but is a seperate concrete fabricated building, will it still be included in the survey and therefore the potential problem be found by the surveyor or can i get away with leaving the work undone?
p.s I wouldn't generally be so nasty but i just cant afford to get the work done.

When I turn on my hot water in my bathroom sink it sounds like the pipe is ready to take off flying or something. How can I fix it without having to call a plumber.

I currently have a gas fired combi providing hot water and central heating for my first floor, 6 room Georgian tenament flat.

The current boiler is noisy and large.

We've been offered a new electric boiler.

My questions:

Will the electric boiler be quieter?
What is cheaper - gas or electricity?
What is the more environmentally friendly option?

I refuse to poison or kill them so don't even suggest that. How can I catch them to set them free outside? Do glue traps work and if so, how does one unstick the poor mouse?

I have mites in my apartment which are very annoying pests. I did some research on the internet and found a few chemicals that claim to get rid of these pests, but I need to know which one really works because these products are expensive and there are no money back guarantees if they don't work, ouch!!! Does anyone out there know or has had these mites and know what really works? I surely can appreceate any advice or information you can give. Thank You !

My floors and trim are cherry and the staircase just doesn't match. How much of the staircase should be painted? If painting wouldn't look right it really needs to be stained darker. Any suggestions?

I was the person last nite that thought the home was 80 amp. I found another home in a real estate guide that had 100 amp service and offered a gas stove, gas water heater, and gas water tank and had central ac, electric dish washer and refridgerator. Would anyone think that with these options in a home, that there would be any problems with 100 amp service?

Surely Sabbath was meant for the Israelites in the old days. Why would any sensible person want to put themselves under the law of the ten commandments? Jesus fulfilled the law by telling us that love is the greatest law. With love you do not need a commandment.

We just bought a new PDC Spa. At first it was wonderful, then the water began getting cloudy.(It's still cloudy) It smelled like something died in it. We keep adding the santi spa, and the clear spa. That took care of some of the smell but it just isnt right. The testing strips it came with say that the PH is high but where it should be. I think anyway.. HELP!!!! We would love to have the clear clean water we had when we bought it.. After only 3 weeks.. its out of control.. From everything that I have read you should only have to empty and refill 4 times a year. What am i doing wrong?

I purchased a "select comfort" type bed over ten years ago and am having problems finding the company to purchase a new inner chamber. Any ideas would be most appreciated. The air pump box has "Advanced Comfort" on it and that's the only information I have. Any ideas on whether or not I could just purchase a select comfort chamber and pump? Rather than purchasing the whole get up?

Unskilled carpenters mounted closing arms on frame to the left as you face the large Yale box containing closing mechanism and doors close with a bang. What can we do to slow down the closing and stop the bang that shakes house?
