Surely Sabbath was meant for the Israelites in the old days. Why would any sensible person want to put themselves under the law of the ten commandments? Jesus fulfilled the law by telling us that love is the greatest law. With love you do not need a commandment.

"Surely Sabbath was meant for the Israelites in the old days."
The Sabbath is for everyone not only for the Jews it existed more than a 1000 yrs before the first Jew even existed

Were Adam and Eve Jews?
They observed the Sabbath Genesis 2:1-3

If they are jews we all are Jews

"Why would any sensible person want to put themselves under the law of the ten commandments?"
Is it wrong to worship other gods?
Is it wrong to worship idols?
is it wrong to take the Lord's name in vain?
Is it wrong to be disrespectfull to your parents?
Is it wrong to kill?
Is it wrong to commit adultery?
Is it wrong to steal?
Is it wrong to lie?
Is it wrong to be covetous?

So you agree we should observe all the other commands and forget the ONLY one that starts of with REMEMBER?

"Jesus fulfilled the law"
Mattew 5
"Do NOT THINK that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I HAVE NOT come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

does fulfill mean do away with or end? Let's test this theory

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to do away with them."
Isn’t that the contradictory?

"With love you do not need a commandment."
Can you say "Yeah I am a serial killer, but I still love my neighbor."
Can you say "Yeah I steal from my neighbor, but I still love him."
Can you say "Yeah I commit adultery with my neighbor's wife, but I still love him."
Can you say "Yeah I bear false witness against my neighbor, but I still love him."
Can you say "Yeah I worship idols, but I still love God"
Can you say "Yeah I worship false gods, but I still love Jesus"
Can you say "No, I refuse to keep the Sabbath but I still love God"

If you love God you will keep the commandments. That is why Jesus says "If you love me keep my commandments."

Acts 17:30

You say that all the "Jewish" laws are done away with but when Jesus says the two greatest commands are "love God and love your neighbor" He is actually quoting "Jewish" law.

"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."
Deuteronomy 6:5

"Love your neighbor as yourself."
Leviticus 19:18

Why should people keep the Sabbath
Revelation 14 says that 3 messages go out to the world right before the end comes. The first message says worship the creator and then it quotes the 4th commandment.

God is calling his people to return to the commandments and worship Him as He has described. He wants His people to leave man made traditions and come back to His word.

I have to respectfully disagree with a statement made above

There are only two days called the Lord's Day in the Bible the Sabbath(Saturday) and the 2nd coming. No verse in the Bible ever calls Sunday the Lord's Day... not one.
Exodus 20:8
Isa 58:13,14
Matt 12:8
Mark 2:28
Luke 6:5

They do it because the Sabbath is actually on Saturday. Others celebrate The Lord's Day, which is Sunday. Still others esteem all days alike.
