My cousin's roof is in the process of being replaced. It started raining early this evening, and one of the guest rooms ceilings fell. Not the whole thing, but a good portion of it. Does anyone know about replacing a ceiling? How to go about it, what tools, materials, and a general estimate on price? I want to help her to fix it. I don't have tons of money to just pay someone to do it, and neither does she! Doing it ourselves will save on the money. Please help me with any information you can, websites with instructions, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We have a baxi bermuda back boiler with a randoll timer. The timer is working ok its just when its time for the heating to come on the boiler doesnt spark up and i cant hear the water start going around the pipes! Could it be that the pilot light has just gone out in the boiler? It was quite windy last night and there was a fair bit of wind coming down the chimney which is were the boiler is! Could this of blown the flame out or would this never happen! Any ideas as to whats wrong?

If you use a angle measurer for corners for crown molding and use a compound miter chart as reference, how do you get the precise angles required on your saw? For example, if you outside corner is measured and the chart says to have the MITER at 31.17 and the BEVEL at 33.53, how do you accurately get those cuts on your compound miter without positive stops. I can't see how you could get those various cuts 100% accurate on your saw.

I just discovered that there is a leak in my room in one corner. This is corner is where I have been keeping three stacked boxes of all of my books. The bottom box is ruined, so I took the books out and I have them in the open to dry (after I tried to wipe some of the mold off). The second box was half bad, and I did the same.

My problem is that I love some of these books. The first box has several books which are all signed and personalized by authors (Nicholas Sparks, John Grisham, Steven King, and Harlan Coben). I would never want to sell them, but the fact that they are in ruins makes me extremely mad.

Does anyone have any solution?

If I dry them out and wipe them again, do you think it would be safe to keep them? Is mold really that dangerous?

I just bought my down blanket brand new and it has a funny smell to it. I was told thats normal and the other blankets had the same thing going on when I unzipped them at the store. I tried tumbling in the dryer with a few dryer sheets but still has a weird smell to it. How do I get rid of that?
