i have a combi boiler VCW T3W. the pressure keeps going down to 0.5 (and lower). the hot water doesnt work but the radiator works fine. i opened the boiler and found a leak inside. i dont know the name of the part. there are two small pipes going into it and it is made of black plastic and seems hexagonal in shape. can anyone help me. what is the problem and can i fix it. PS there doesnt seem to be any other leaks including the vent outside.

We were trying to leave the house last night, and birds are trying to come in the house. Porch light was on, and several (3 or more) pushing there way in the door. Are they seeking shelter?

I don't know if it is particular to the UK, but I have seen so many gardens with that I wonder what purpose they serve. I can understand that, years ago they may have been regarded as cute or fun but I would have hoped that we had moved on since then. If a garden owner wants to have ornaments then surely there is a big enough range to choose from rather than buy a gnome. Do owners of gnomes want to tell the world that they are being an individual and don't care what the public amy think? I really am at a loss to understand why this ugly adornment remains an item that can be so readily bought!

With a pitch of 30cm maybe a little more.
Purlins are 1 metre and 1 inch metal wide.
I will cover with board as prlins to thin to work with, THEN WHAT?

I am OK with the job ( done new bathroon suite etc ok ) after doing research etc and friends to help.

Ideas welcome

Does anyone know how to get grease stains out of clothing? I've tried hot washes, pre soaking, pre washing and vanish and it's on one of my favourite tops!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I currently have two gas combi-boilers (ie they heat the water as it flows through, with no storage tanks), one for the ground floor and one for the top floor. I'm redoing a bathroom and want to get decent shower pressure. What are my best options? I've used a megaflow in a previous house, which seemed good but I don't want to heat my water from cold with electricity. Also seems a shame to have to replace working boilers, but I will if necessary. So can I somehow get hot water into a megaflow - and do I need a new boiler to do this?
Obviously planning to get a plumber to actually install this!

Hi all,

I take great pride in my jeans. My dowfall is denim jeans and I've been known to spend a lot on them!

Anyway.. just wondering if anyone could tell me whats the best way to wash my jeans to avoid colour run and shrinkage.

I usually wash a few pairs together or similar colour, each turned inside out in my washing machine. After drying them (often over a radiator) they're usually quite stiff and take a couple of wears to get them back to normal.

Any denim washing / drying tips greatly appreciated x
