With a pitch of 30cm maybe a little more.
Purlins are 1 metre and 1 inch metal wide.
I will cover with board as prlins to thin to work with, THEN WHAT?

I am OK with the job ( done new bathroon suite etc ok ) after doing research etc and friends to help.

Ideas welcome

Simon

Corrugated with be stronger and last longer. However it will be noisy when it rains.

I've never been happy with felt roofs, they just seem to require work every few years.

You are on a fairly shollow fall there so you'll need to make it strong to support snow etc ( in the UK, roofs are normally expected to be strong enough to support 18 inches of snow )

I'd choose corrugated.

don't put on the board go straight on with the corrugated cement fibre sheet, put them on opposite way to which the purlins are running if the purlins are running with the 30 cm pitch ( husbands a roofer)they also do a purpose made hock bolt to fix to metal purlins.

corrugated is the best for longest lasting and for less maintenance as i work with roofing quite a bit but always use steel not the cheaper versions that could entice you .
