I currently have two gas combi-boilers (ie they heat the water as it flows through, with no storage tanks), one for the ground floor and one for the top floor. I'm redoing a bathroom and want to get decent shower pressure. What are my best options? I've used a megaflow in a previous house, which seemed good but I don't want to heat my water from cold with electricity. Also seems a shame to have to replace working boilers, but I will if necessary. So can I somehow get hot water into a megaflow - and do I need a new boiler to do this?
Obviously planning to get a plumber to actually install this!

For clarity: both combi boilers are used for central heating and hot water today; one for each floor

The flow and return from the combi can heat the Megaflow via a zone valve and controls, I'm assuming that one or both combis are used for CH?? You will also need a zone valve for the heating circuit. You can then fit a thermostatic shower valve from the Megaflow or from the 'instant' output of the combi.

You guys are keeping the plumbers over there rich with these dam Combi boiler problems, don't you have Water heaters with a Tank- . I have 40 gallon Water Heater -Boiler with a Circulation pump for instant hot water, it does not cost much, to heat the water. And what do you use for Laundry, with no hot water tank- most shower heads today are low pressure for a reason, high pressure waste water.

Use an indirect Megaflo, your combi(s) will heat the water in it, as Jayktee correctly pointed out a diverter valve will need to be fitted. As far as I am aware the indirect Megaflo comes with this as standard. There is no need for a new boiler.

i might withhold between a 0.33 and 0.5 of the plumbing invoice till they confirm the project, yet you may write to them with recorded positioned up and say which you're doing so, and why. pushing aside your modern-day water tank became a mistake by way of fact this led to your water rigidity to fall. the line rigidity is obviously no longer sufficient for 2 bogs and all the different sanitation. they're the experts and could have been conscious of this ! You did no longer could specify that the two showers could function concurrently in view it quite is pointing out the obtrusive. you do no longer could inform an electrician that each and all the lighting fixtures could desire to be became on on the comparable time, with out blowing each and all the fuses, that's extraordinarily lots the comparable. It could be achievable to place in a pump which might enhance the inlet rigidity with out desiring a tank, in step with risk you are able to desire to ask the plumbing corporation if it is achievable. it is likewise achievable that the Combi unit they put in isn't guy adequate to your standards, and if this needs to be as much as date to a greater suitable variety, the plumber could generally pay quite some the value of this. you are able to desire to grant to pay the version in the expenses of the two fashions with the intention to sidestep a protracted and severe priced dispute, or perhaps a number of the labour expenses. In any journey, assume to pay some thing in direction of fixing this project. for sure there became a breakdown in verbal exchange and the two you and the plumber made some blunders. it quite is a lot greater suitable to return to a mutual contract than have this remember come formerly a courtroom. by way of fact then you definately the two lose in the top. do no longer flow to a various plumber, by way of fact except you supply the present one a guess to unravel the project, you are able to't deduct somebody else's artwork expenses from their invoice. In a courtroom of regulation you would be compelled to pay something. I desire you good fortune ......

Have you considered a pump? You can't get better shower than a power-shower. The best thing I have done for the house/me. The one you will need depends on the showerhead and you will need an electrician and a plumber to fit everything in. Trust me it is well worth it.
