I have just acquired from a friend his refridgerator, however it is not working. I plug it in, silence, the interior light is on, therefore I know it is not the power source, nor is it the cord to the fridge. What might be wrong, and how can I fix it? (Neither the fridge nor freezer work)

Now, when I turned them on, they are dripping. My plumbing was installed 2 years ago and everything is pretty new. The nipple which holds the faucet handle is impossible to turn in any direction and water is dripping from it. How can I tighten is?Would it work if I just put silicon around it to stop water? I know that's the best is to call plumber, but they charge so much even for little things. Please ,advise.

One of my cats has started to pee on my favorite couch. (Im baffled as to why they decided to do this all of a sudden after having them for 5+years)I have tried cleaning it with different products, (Ur-In-Control and Hoover Pet Soil and Stain Carpet/Furniture Cleaner) it smells good for a little while, then the odor comes right back. I'd love to be able to keep the couch if at all possible and find something that will change this awful behaviour. I'd also like to keep the cat lol

I am considering moving into the Inverness/Ocala/Leesburg/Orlando area. If you happen to live in a one-bedroom or know the rents for these sorts of apartments in that area of the state, would you please share the info with me?

A price range (based on downscale to upscale complexes) would be great.

Thanks.

We are in Atlanta, GA. The grass is brown/yellow now, it has green too, but the overall looks pretty bad comparing to my neighbors'. I heard that one can tell this by checking how color changes in the grass, brown from top or bottom, something like that. Could someone help? Thanks!

I have a nice begonia that is dying - do I try to salvage it by bringing it inside and trying to keep going or is this an annual that is going to croak with the season anyway?

Thanks!

Yeah.. It started out as green, but then turned black in about 1-2 days.

Is it poisonous? A plant? A weed?
Should I keep it? get rid of it?

If you don't know, do you know any websites that can give me info?

Please Help if you can!

My front door is heavy wood. I have stained and polyurethaned it several times but it never lasts. Now it's chipped and peeling again. It has too many panels to be able to sand it. Any suggestions for removing the old finish and applying a finish that will last? Should I give up on staining and just paint it?

I have my computer on about 16 hours a day and am wondering if I'm using a lot of power.
Does it use less power to boil water in the microwave or on the stove in a kettle?

The current owner bought it less than a year ago. Should I search the Yellow Pages for a home near this property, call them and ask if they knew the previous owner? I have also considered going back to the town and searching public records to find the sale. Never done that before. What would I be looking for? What would speed up my search? Any other suggestions as to how I can find out this information?

When it rains hard and constantly(as it does up in the northwest)
I have a garden that you cannot walk on. You can skid, slide good fun if you like that sort of thing! as the garage runs most of the length of the grass it stops the natural flow of the water. At the back of the garage there is a paved area. Since I bought my house 2 years ago i have tried most things and wondered what was making it so wet. None of the neighbours have this problem. Now I have lifted a paving stone up at the back of the garage and have found concrete a good 4" thick, apparently you put a dry mix down first so the paving remain even. I think this is stopping the water from flowing anywhere. But... My other half just shrugs his shoulders and says "i'm a chef what do I know?"
Anybody had the same problem and resolved it without moving or trading the chef for a gardener? Actually that sounds the best option. But I will try other advice to. thanks
