We end up shampooing it 3 times a year. I'd like to put in a hard surface but we are on pilings and the first level. I'm afraid it may be too cold during the winter months. Also would the building movement during a storm cause a problem if we added a hard surface. I guess we could add area rugs when it's colder down in NC.

We are getting a new house soon and it has a 25 by 16 foot studio. We are planning to turn it into a gamesroom, a few ideas will be useful. Try not to go too expensive.
Also not too jammed.
Along with a gamesroom it is also a utility room (lol), so keep that in mind.
The current ideas are(I will add to this later!):
Pool Table
Old Duke Box
Table Tennis Table
Dart Board

p.s - no bars!

Is there something that will cut right through it that you can just use to wash the walls?

Wanted to know your preference .Myself could never live in a condo as like I am clostrophobic and I hate elevator and neighbours are just a little too close all together . Houses have back yards and I love bbq in the summer and the pool in the back .My friend just paid 500,000 fo a small condo overlooking the lake and had to get rid of most of her furniture as it was not big enough to accomodate everything she had.On top she's stuck paying maintenance high monthly maintenance fees as well .
her positive is that she lives in the city with the lake view.I guess I am more of a suburban person ...but wanted to know what is the preference of the rest of you out there :)

There's an awful smell comming from the side of my kitchen sink that doesn't have the garbage disposal. I'm sure that if I open the pipe there would be alot of organic junk cought in the U pipe, which is PVC. But Last time I openned that to clean it out, I broke a washer and coldn't use that side till I got a new piece. Is there anythin I could pour down there? Not Drano, that eats the washers in my pipes.

Have just been given a young plant. Want it in a pot outside the front door, however this only gets the sun first thing in the morning. Is this enough or does it need to be in full sun round the back of the house?

I just bombed my room with flea killing stuff, but if I walk to the kitchen and come back, at LEAST 5 flea's jump on each foot along the way.. It's not even far, but these things keep coming back! Kind of embarassing I know but I can't sleep because of this
