pour about a cup or so of baking soda down the drain. Then pour about a cup of vinegar. This will react & bubble up & foam. Let it stand for about 15 minutes. Return to rinse sink with cold water. Do the same with the regular drain. Do this anytime the smell returns.
Remember to NEVER mix amonia & bleach with any other cleaning products. Stick with bakind soda it cleans great & is a natural cleanser.
Happy cleaning!

Use a combination of baking soda and vinegar. You need to use something to kill the bacteria, and the vinegar will do that and the baking soda will contribute to a better smell. I would run hot water first to get rid of as much grease as you can. Then I would pour in a cup or two of vinegar and let it sit, Then add baking soda and some more vinegar to rinse it down and let it do its work.

I put about a cup of bakong soda in and follow with white vinegar. That mixture not only get's rid of minor clog's , but it deodorizes the pipes. The mixture will foam and boil and that's what get's the clog's out. Both ,vinegar and soda are natural deodorizers. I never buy commercial chemical's anymore. This works and is quite inexpensive.Try it, and good luck to you.

You could boil some water and pour it down the pipes, hoping it dissolves the grease & food.
