I checked Homedepot.com and Lowes.com for replacements, but I'm looking for more of a selection. Anyone know of sites that offer a wide array of tub and shower surrounds?

is kind of cool. BUT, it sat damp on my freezer in the laundry room and now has little rust spots all over it. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get off the rust stains without disturbing the decal. (It isn't one of those cheap plasticky feeling decals, but it is raised

I have already tried to spot treat it with some stuff simply called Rust Remover...it is powdery and smells like sulphur...it didn't touch the stains.

Thanks!!

We have a new oak table in our kitchen/dining room and I'm worried that it will stain easily, especially with red wine.

How easily does oak furnitre stain? This is quite a light oak, and it doesn't appear to have been treated at all, apart from linseed oil ( I think)

Is there anything we can use to seal it against staining or should we just live with the "inevitable" ...?

Water continues to trickle into the bowl (only on the front side) long after the flush process finishes. I have replaced the crapper flapper and the tank does not cycle more water at any point. Most of the time the trickling stops, but at various intervals from a few minutes to an hour.

I have a fairly standard copper fire bowl with a screened dome. When I leave it out rain fills the basin. Would drilling a few small holes at the bottom damage it? Most tarps are too big.

I just moved into a new home and would like to have a water softener installed. The main water supply (shut off values) is located in the coat closet though. I don't want to put a water softener in the coat closet. The house is on a slab foundation. Can we put the water softener some where else? If so, what are our options?

It is a shag type rug made with leather strips. I need to know how to vaccum it without tearing it up or blowing up my vaccum cleaner. I have a dog that sheds horribly twice a year and well, this is one them!

I have a 2000 gallon septic tank was just drained a month ago and the guy that drained it pointed out that the pipe going to the drain fields had sludgy water coming back from them.. I discovered the tank was full because, the downstairs bathroom would not flush properly. The problem was somewhat intermittent but became more and more consistent. Particularly on days when I used a lot of water (ie laundry, dishwasher) or on days with heavy rain. When the tank was empty, flushing downstairs went fine. We had a heavy rain last week and the downstairs flushing issue is back. Along with (what I assume) is a full septic tank. My conclusion is the drain fields are not working properly.

Freezers with R600a refigerant do not operate when ambient temperature gets near to zero celcius. My solution is to install a small heater to keep the compressor and evaporator warm. Has anyone tried this or looked to alternate solutions?

I am a stay at home mom with 1 child who is 3 years old. For some reason I just can't get organized. I do paper work for my husband's business and I am always behind on it, plus my house is a mess. How can I organize better so that I can get my stuff done? It seems like all I get done is just the basic laundry, and light cleaning, just enough to get by. When company comes over I am a little embarassed about how messy my house is HELP!
