I am getting estimates on having my kitchen replumbed. One company uses copper and the other uses PEX. The one that uses PEX came in at about $500 cheaper. Is PEX as good as copper? Why? Or why not? Thanks!

Okay, so I bought them 48 hours ago and they're already wilty. :( I have them in pots with potting soil, and I water them (but not too much). One of the plants is very wilty. They stay in the sun all day and outside at night. Is it the cold nights? It can get down to about 50 at night... too much sun? Any other possibilities?

I have a lot of people I want to make gifts for during Christmas. I won't have very much money this year so I was thinking I would just make all gifts. Anything and everything would be appreciated.

We just moved into a new house. The dryer hookup is for a gas dryer, while we have a fairly new electric dryer we would like to hook up. The dryer has a 3 prong plug, 2 of the prongs are slanted (sort of like a 'V' without the bottom half of the letter), and the last prong has a right angle on it. I purchased some 10-4 cable, an electric socket, and a 2 pole, 30 amp breaker for the panel. When I wire the cable up to the outlet, do I put the 'hot' wires on the 'V' screws, the neutral wire on the right angle screw, and the ground wire on the screw in the middle of the outlet? Any other tips would be appreciated.

I have an herb garden growing in pots outdoors. They were started from good seed and planted in a top grade potting soil. They have plenty of direct sun or I can drag them in the shade. Cilantro, basil and a few others. The plants were thriving, very green in the beginning. Due to a hot summer and a few heat waves, I had to water the plants daily or they would droop. All of a sudden, I noticed the cilantro getting yellowish speckles and then loosing their intense green color. I did put a few drops of Miracle Grow in the water can from time to time. I want to bring the plants back to where they were. They aren't dying, just not getting as green as they should be. What am I doing wrong and what do I need to do to get them healthy again?

My husband and I have a lot of stuff, We have two kids... Ive had numerous yardsales and there still seems to be a lot of junk in our home that is cluttering up our house, and making things messier than what they are. Im not that great of a housekeeper as I cannot keep things organized.. Does anyone have any tips for organizing kids rooms, paperwork, and other things? I would appreciate any advice you can give... Anything to rid myself of the constant clutter...

My roommates and I are renting a great house from a couple that would not appreciate us doing major construction--like adding a full door. We share a bathroom, which is technically "in" my bedroom (you enter the bathroom first), and there is no door between that space and my bedroom space. The opening is fairly narrow, with extremely high ceilings. I'm open to installing curtains, a "fake" door, screens--anything that is fairly simple and as sound/vision proof as possible. For curtains, a specific material recommendation would be very welcome! I don't want to spend a fortune, but I do value my privacy! Thanks!
