Remove Rust From Shower

CLR or Lime Away can do it. If you have rust though, it will come back, especially if you have a well for your water source. You can try getting a water softener which will remove most of the iron from well water. If you are not on a well system, you may want to have your pipes checked out for possible leaks.

There is a product called CLR that gets off stains (the R in its name stands for the Rust it can remove). It is just diluted oxalic acid in a convenient package. It works great on the rust and also gets off Calcium and Lime stains.

If it is on porcelain, you may try saturating the stain with white vinegar. You can keep the vinegar from running off by either saturating a sponge with the vinegar, a washcloth, or several thicknesses of paper towel and letting it sit on the stain. Then use a little elbow grease along with the vinegar soaked sponge or rag and scrub until the stain is gone. If it's an old stain, you may need to repeat this.

Try rubbing the rust of with a metal polish like Silvo, brasso or a stainless steel metal polish. The man that installed my bath tub told me to use that so it doesn't leave scratch marks. I tried it and it works. The other thing to try is CLR cleaner stands for Calcum..Lime...Rust. I've been told it works great.
