It can't be done in a regular oven, unless it is a special clay made for regular oven use, but these do not fire as hard. A kiln is needed and it is usally 2000 degrees for about 6 hours.

It can't be done in a regular oven, because it doesn't get hot enough. The rest depends on the type of clay used and the type of finish you've put on it.

you need a kiln to get it up to tempature
