My tomato plants have tomato grub poops and have eaten leaves by these green grubs. Where the heck do they come from? Worms can't fly.

Are there any chemicals or something that may do the trick? Sometimes after washing items still have some deodorant left. Any help would be apprecciated.

I use all white bath towels, and when they start to look dingy, I soak them in the washer with a half a cup of bleach and warm water for about 2 or 3 hours. I have some kitchen towels that are white, but they have a pattern on them. I always throw them in with the white towels and bleach when I do a regular wash, but do you think it'd be okay if I put them in to soak? I don't want the pattern to bleach out. I know it might lighten the pattern, but will it ruin it or leave bleach spots?

I have hired a local carpet cleaning service to come clean my apartment and I was wondering whether I am supposed to tip them on top of paying the normal service rate.

I am sure people have asked this, but on Labor Day like so many people we had a BBQ, well we didn't invite flies, but they rudely showed up. We had citronella candles burning that didn't help.( It kept mosquitos away ) Is there something like candles that keep flies away ?? It was so horrible and embarrassing. MY husband and I made sure we cleaned and washed down the cement. Please help for next BBQ

I wash my clothes often, after one wear, and I use detergent and a fabric softner sheet in the dryer. It seems that by mid-day or so my clothes don't smell bad, but they smell a little unfresh. What's a good way to keep my clothes smelling fresh throughout the day...and I don't want to know about spraying something on them like Febreeze. What can I do when washing them to make them stay fresh longer.

Hi there. I am wiring a 3 way switch on my basement stairs. I can put the power to the light fixture or to a switch and can essentially wire it in whatever order is easiest or best. However, I would like to put a recepticle onto this circuit as well to save running an additional 25 feet of wire for one plugin. Running the power to the recepticle first would be the best option, but is farthest away from the incoming power source so I would have to double back all my wiring. Is there a way to wire my three way circuit and have this recepticle at the end? It does not matter whether it is hot, or also controlled by the switch. Thank you very much.

Is this possible? It says 'Dry Clean' only. I have a front load washer and I really don't feel like spending $50 to dry clean my comforter.

The cable company put down new fiberoptic lines in my backyard about 3 months ago. They dug a series of holes about 6' long and 6' deep to do this. I got a lot of rain and wind when Ernesto passed over my house in Richmond, VA last week and a 50'-60' tree fell down and was hanging over my house, supported by another big tree that it hit. One of the holes the cable company dug was about 10' from the base of the tree that fell and it fell directly over where the hole was. Is there any chance they may have cut the roots of the tree causing it to fall when they laid the fiber optic line? The tree did not hit but it was in danger of falling on (supported by another tree) so I had to call in a crane to remove it. It cost $5,600 and insurance doesn't want to pay becuase it didn't actually hit my house (it would have hit it eventually if I had left it there).

Does anyone know if cutting a 6' long section of roots this far away could cause the tree to fall? It was a big one!

The file cabinet is in my home and was obtained for free from an office liquidation event. It's tall, four-drawer, metal, legal size. The locking mechanism (in which you supposed to insert a key) is at the top. When it's pushed in, it closes (no need to insert the the key to close). Can't find the key. What are my options (besides a locksmith)? I don't care if I destroy the locking mechanism. Any tricks? Like a hairpin or something? There are some files insides to which I need access, but not in a rush. Thanks

Hi! We've had a lot of rain lately and I keep my apartment clean (I vacuum every other day and dust, take out the trash, etc. very regularly). I was wondering if there was any kind of homemade product that I can put outside my apartment door to ward off those yucky little creatures?
