I'm super-stressed packing up the house and getting repairs done before escrow closes, so I doubt I'll have time to do things like clean the fridge or the oven, etc; do I need to have a maid come in before I leave, or is it just understood that when a buyer moves into a new house they will need to do a thorough cleaning?

For shear wall, the plan says use "3/8 CDX Ply O.S.". I have seen 3/8 CDX ply and also 3/8 CDX ply OSB (oriented strand board). Does anyone knows what O.S. means in construction terminology?
Thanks

The local bats have found a new "hotspot" for their evening meeting place - my front porch! I am sick of sweeping bat poop off the porch every morning (granted, it's much better than when they were in the attic and sometimes got in the house!!). I had read that strips of aluminum foil hung from the porch ceiling would confuse their radar and would make them find a new place to hang out. Has anyone successfully tried this or do you have other successful bat "removal" techniques? Thanks!

I have a project for school and was wondering what type of tree this comes off of. If I could get a link with a picture it would be great. It it about an inch wide with prickly things on it and it is brown and it has a stem. I thought it might be sweetgum of chestnut but all pictures I can find don't look like it.
