Sorry,my spelling was horrible!
I meant they are in potted plants obviously. And, should i plant the lavender in the ground, won't it freeze during winter months? thanks again.

Sometimes potted plants don't bloom as well as their garden counterparts because of water stress- a pot dries out very fast, especially in the full sun that lavender needs to flower.

Okay- it looks like lavender is hardy to at least zone 5. Keep in mind, a plant in the ground is going to survive the cold better than one in a pot- the mass of surrounding soil is insulation for the roots. I'd put it in the ground, unless there's a specific reason to keep them in the pots. (My lavender has done beautifully in the ground here in Virginia.)

Lavendar is very hardy. It will do well even through a winter freeze (ok, maybe not Alaska) ... some of the leaves die off, but it puts out lots of new growth in Spring. Prune off the dried flower shooters in Spring, this stimulates new growth. Give sufficient water. Plenty of sun. You'll have more lavendar than you can shake a stick at.

after they bloom, make sure and cut off the dead buds. also, having them in potted planters may be another problem, because they can't get a good root establishment to continue growing. lavender gets really big and flowers more and more as it gets bigger, at least that has been my experience. also full sun.

Try giving it some seaweed emultion, dilute 2 teaspoons to a 5 litre watering can. This is extremely good for any plant and I'm sure you will notice the difference very soon. Give this every two weeks for about a month. Good luck.

Pull those pots out where they are getting more sun. Don't under water, but if they were semi shady and you watered them often , could be too much.If you under water a little it's more likely to, force blooms.
