In construction terminology, what "O.S." stands for "3/8 CDX Ply O.S."?

For shear wall, the plan says use "3/8 CDX Ply O.S.". I have seen 3/8 CDX ply and also 3/8 CDX ply OSB (oriented strand board). Does anyone knows what O.S. means in construction terminology?

O.S. means One Side...Meaning one side is sanded smooth.
