A tie between Phalaenopsis (moth orchid) and Paphiopedilum (tropical ladyslipper). The Phals- particularly equestris hybrids and also Dtps. Kenneth Schubert- can bloom for 4-8 months at a stretch. The ladyslippers don't bloom as long, but their blooms are so beautiful, they're worth it anyway.

I like my spider plant because of all the babies you get. Besides one time I forgot the "booby prize" at a card part I hosted and I plucked off a couple of those babies, popped it into a nice planter and voila instant gift! The recipient was sooo excited!

My aloe vera plant
It is nice to look at and helps me with the burns in the kitchen. That's what I call double duty.
