The estimate I got which included new duct work was about $5500, though it was 9 years ago. Subtract ducting, add inflation, and it will likely even out. Also depends on the size of your house (conditioned square feet) and if you set it up as a single zone or multiple zones.

in case you have a significant heating gadget, this is plenty extra low fee than in case you have baseboards because of the undeniable fact that one and all ductwork is already in place. in maximum cases, a significant heater may well be switched over to do the two heating and cooling. the fee of installation of the gadget relies upon on what variety and how super the compressor must be. call for estimates and get 3 or extra estimates and a fact of artwork till now you sign a settlement for the installation. a fact of artwork will lay out how the installer plans on installation the gadget and what warrantees are in place on the workmanship and on the unit.

If you shop around and get estimates and do not go with a high end unit - you can stay just under $2,000 in most cases.
