Did you then have to have more work done? Was it ok? Were you nervous?

Do you mean colposcopy? If so, yes I had one done when I was 21 years old. My pap came back positive for dysplasia (pre-cancerous cells). This is very common in young women so don't freak out. The doctor applies a vinegar solution to the cervix and vagina with a cotton ball or swab. The vinegar makes abnormal tissue turn white so they can identify areas that may need further evaluation. If he/she does see anything abnormal, a biopsy may be performed. It's not a painful procedure, just a little uncomfortable (as most pelvic exams are). You may experience some cramping and light bleeding after the procedure, but you can pretty well carry out your daily activities without restriction. Hope this helps, good luck...

I had one and I was really scared.

It wasn't very painful at all.

Everything ended up being fine.
