ok so when i dry my clothes after washing them, some of them shrink. how can i stop this? should i just air dry them? is it okay to air dry them on a hanger in my closet? (not touching other clothes, of course)& if i do that, i should leave the closet door open right? and maybe point a fan in front of it..?

please help and tell me what you think of my ideas!

thanks!

I want to install a new front door on my house and i'm not sure what color or wood type to go with. My house is a light blue and white brick with light blue trim. Right now my door is a dark brown. I don't want any more blue. I'm thinking maybe white or natural wood. White i'm a little iffy about cause it gets to dirty looking to fast and I'm not sure what color or type of wood door would look good with a blue and white house. Please Help.....

Our windows all worked fine until we had the house painted. Now, most won't open (the windows themselves were not painted). I think it is because the painter we hired pressure washed the outside of the house prior to painting, forcing grit into the track the window slides open/closed in. These are glass windows in metal frames that should move horizontally in a metal track.

We tried using a lot of pressure, moving back and forth, and hit the tracks with WD 40, but the windows are still stuck. All other suggestions welcome!

Thanks.

My wooden sandbox is situated on the rooftop and sits on the wooden decking. It has a wooden cover but no drainage. I live in Shanghai and it's the rainy season now and typhoon season next. Now it's flooded and the bottom (where it's in contact with the base) is smelly and mouldy. What should I do now?
I was thinking of using covering the base and the top with ground sheets (vinyl) so the sand will not come into contact with the wood and it will also prevent water from entering the box.
Many thanks for your help.

We have no airconditioning which has never been a problem in the past, but this yr we are having a heat wave that is getting over 100 degrees. Our house seems to have no problem getting hot during the day, but as night falls and the temperture goes with it, our house continues to be a sauna. We have two fans going through the house, and all doors and windows wide open, yet the cool air stays outside. how can I get the cool air inside? Thank you to anyone that can help me

However, on the ceiling above it the nails stick through with the pointy end facing down to the ground. Should we just sand and paint around these? Or is there a different way? Also.. what is the best outdoor paint to use on the poles that hold up the roof and the ceiling itself?

I have a HUGE fly problem in my yard/on my patio. I have tried spraying the patio furniture with bug repellant, I have an electronic bug zapper (which only works on bugs at night, like moths), and those sticky fly strips. Nothing works to actually repel them. Anyone have any ideas????
