I'm trying to find out if Makita makes decent power tools, from what I've read online even their general models are strong, and long lasting. Every review I've read about them is positive, does everyone agree?

I have a 2 story home with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths.

It has a two car garage and has a small yard.

My husband and I plan to get pregnant soon.

We will have our mortgage paid off next year.

We intend on staying where we are probably permanently since California homes are expensive and there’s no way we can buy another home and afford to have children too.

I intended on spending about $40,000 to update everything and put in new kitchen cabinets and granite countertops.

Problem is in our neighborhood these updates aren’t the norm. My mother keeps saying one day we may move and rent out our home and then we will never make our money back.

I don’t know what to do!

Any advice?

Enlarging our master bath meant taking out the wall between the existing bath and the closet. The closet had a stucco ceiling, so now I have two different ceiling finishes in the new room. Instead of scraping it to match the smooth half, can I stucco the whole thing in swirls?

Will leaving a lawn sprinkler spraying cold water on a central A/C unit outside in the summer make it cool down the inside of the building faster or make the unit any more efficient?

My 91-year-old grandmother has been sensing the end of her time here for a few years now and has tried to give away to her family everything of value she owns. This weekend she gave me and my wife a quilt that was handmade by my great, great, great grandmother who was an American Indian. She even spun the thread used to make it. This quilt is at least 150 years old. My wife and I plan to have it cleaned professionally and then somehow mount it on the wall. It does have a couple of stains on it that I would like to be removed if possible. Do you know what type of business I should contact for the cleaning? Any cleaning methods that are better than others? Any ideas on how to properly mount to the wall? Should it be put in a wooden case with a glass covering? What about products I could use for preservation?

Ive never really had any gardens as an adult, but I threw out a couple of plants and some seeds this year in a little patch of dirt off my deck(watermelon, eggplant, pepper, tomato and sunflowers) Unfortunately a bunny lives under the deck and has started to nibble on my football sized watermelon. How do I keep him from eating it before it grows up?

OK, so we got a MemoryFoam matress for one bed, and loved it. So we got a topper for another, and the topper smells like Nair! Yuck. How can we get the smell out? I don't want to move it; it's suprisingly heavy!

We just put our pool up, and we're gonna shock it tomorrow. I've heard that it only takes a couple days before you can go swimming. We'll be shocking it with liquid chlorine, so does anyone happen to know the approxomate amount of time it'll take?
