OK, so we got a MemoryFoam matress for one bed, and loved it. So we got a topper for another, and the topper smells like Nair! Yuck. How can we get the smell out? I don't want to move it; it's suprisingly heavy!

Sprinkle either baking soda or borax on it and leave it on there for as long as possible. Vacuum it up and the odor should go away. You could spray it with Fabreeze, Oust, Ozium, OdorZout, but you risk staining it.

febreeze works great.

once the odor is 99% gone, spray some of your favorite perfume on the topper too. not only will it take the last bit of smell out, but it will smell great, and "stimulating" too... :)

Try some of the sprays out there for odor removal. Febreeze deep cleaning or something of that nature. You may have to spray it several times, but it may eventually come out.

Try sprinkling baking soda on in and vacuuming it off. Freebreeze will work also but it has a little smell.

You need to try and wash it...I know its big...so its gonna be hard....
I would get some warm soapy water and soak it in to the stain...then either try and ring it out, soak it up with a towel...or if you have a wet dry shop vac...soak up the water with it...
Do this like 3 times....let it dry....you should have washed out the smell.

We had a pet problem...and had to do this to one of our couches....

Asda (Wallmart) do a fabric anti bacterial spray that you just leave to dry. I use it on my daughters quilt as it doesn't fit in the washing machine, and costs more to dry clean it than it did to buy it.

If it is flat and can be vacuumed then I would sprinkle baking soda on it and let it sit for a while and vacuum off. Baking soda works wonders with everything.

Try Fabreeze...the smell is because it's made of a foam made from all these nasty chemicals....it's bound to smell.

I would take it back to the store... sounds pretty nasty. Either that or wrap it in plastic to seal in the nastiness.
