I put a dryer sheet in the hamper so they smell like it before they go into the washer, in drawers, and I use 6 sheets.

It's not the number of dryer sheets you use, it's how tightly you pack your washer and dryer. You clothes need enough room to let the agitation of the washer work appropriately and enough room in the dryer to let the clothes tumble freely.

If you pay to do your laundry at a laundromat or coin-op it can be expensive, but once you see how much better your clothes look and smell you'll see that it's worth it.

Wash the clothes before you put them in the dryer with the dryer sheets

I grew up with parents who smoked cigarettes. The odor overpowered everything in our home.
From this example, if you aren't getting the fragrance from one dryer sheet on a normal sized wash load, you might want to re-wash the clothes and use borax to remove odors first.

One snuggle does the trick for me. Sometimes when I buy the less expense brand they do not smell as good.
