Enlarging our master bath meant taking out the wall between the existing bath and the closet. The closet had a stucco ceiling, so now I have two different ceiling finishes in the new room. Instead of scraping it to match the smooth half, can I stucco the whole thing in swirls?

Go ahead! Stucco works well 9for me) as long as it IS ventilated. Looks great after 10 yrs. or so.

Yes, without a doubt you can have a stucco ceiling inside your bathroom. There are parts of the country that use stucco exclusively inside, even in the bathroom. Good Luck

Yes you can have a stomped/stucco ceiling in your bathroom. I would recommend either adding paint to your drywall compound to prevent staining before you stomp the ceiling, or you can paint the ceiling after the compound dries. If you need advice on how to stomp your ceiling let me know I could be of great help to you.

i be conscious of what you mean via stucco ceilings, that is not popcorn acoustical spray, yet, actual textured stucco, plaster. that's used as an ornamental ceiling therapy, and is many times no longer constrained to everyone specific room. My guess along with your house is the rooms you stated had ceiling flaws and/or water spots that the place "coated up" with the plaster. Is it an older living house? if so, i'm specific it somewhat is the reason. as a methods as a results of fact the acoustical ceiling spray, (popcorn ceiling) it somewhat is fairly inexpensive. it somewhat is confusing to sand the airborne dirt and mud and tape strips on drywall ceilings, and extremely hard paintings in intensity to make it thoroughly mushy. Acoustical ceiling spray could be blown with minimum sanding, if any in any respect, thous saving $a hundred's of greenbacks in line with room.
