Besides the fact that i like to sit on these things, i also wanted to research them. Oh yeah, and did they put cushions on chairs for comfort, or for some other reason? I've also noticed how boring this object is, yet how useful.

Why do my towels smell after washing them?

I have this set of red cotton towels that always smell like mildew after I wash them. My other towels don't smell like mildew even if I wash them together.

I even changed detergent and the way I wash them. Does anyone know why this happens?

How do I get these white marks off of my souvenir pennies after leaving them in vinegar for a year?

I was told that vinegar would clean pennies, so I left my hard-earned souvenir pennies in vinegar. I ended up with white marks on my pennies. Help!

Water softeners: what do you expect to pay? Good brands, etc?

I'm looking at a GE water softener made by GE and installed by Home Depot. It's the biggest one and it's a 2 tank system. In my area we have more minerals in the water than chemicals. I understand the the profit margins on those are big. What companies, and brands would you go for? How much would you expect to pay? I've got a 3400 sq. foot house with 4 people. Thanks

How does one refinish (stain) old wood dining room chairs?

I have 40 year old dining room chairs that were finished in a antique greenish white (UGLY). I want to restain them in a natural looking wood finish. Do I need to strip the old finish? Do I need to apply a base? HELP!!!!! Thanks much.

Im trying to get tha header length of a window well actually alot of windows,?

HELP ,we have some biting flea's or something ,small ,black &very resisting to 'raid& other sprays,what to do?

we have a very small black ,can barely see it,insect in the house ,biting and very resisting to most repellants,{used raid and many other repellants }and after every spraying they getting MORE .we most likely getting sick of the repellant but they still biting ..even after using 'off' on my skin ,they went even more furious to bite Me .I keep washing all blankets and still ....What to do?

I have a lime tree and some leaves are turning yellow? What is wrong??

The tree is in a patio tree box (large one) and the tree is probably 3 feet tall with some fruit on it. THe leaves at the top of the tree are bright green but curled up, the leaves that are turning yellow are at the bottom of the tree. Is the tree getting too much water, not enough water, or something else.

Who puts the "keep of the grass" signs up?

And do they get yelled at for stepping on the grass?

I know that sometimes the signs are so close to the walkway that they don't need to step onto the grass, but sometimes they just don't set it right next to the walkway; sometimes they actually have to step on the grass to set the sign up, and those are the cases I'm inquiring about.
