Besides the fact that i like to sit on these things, i also wanted to research them. Oh yeah, and did they put cushions on chairs for comfort, or for some other reason? I've also noticed how boring this object is, yet how useful.

They had chairs already in ancient Egypt, over 3000 years ago, so chairs must have been around much longer ago than that.
