It's probably the fan.Check to see if the freezer is cold but not cold enough.If it is,then it's the fan and replacing it is neither difficult or time consuming.

Sounds like circulation or defrost problem.
1st, check both coil fans.
2cnd check for ice around evaporator coil.
Make repairs accordingly.
