I have many baseball hats that need washing, however when i have tried putting them in the dishwasher, as some suggested, they kinda came out looking like Hillary Clinton...so anyone know a way to preserve the structural integrity of these little jewels without making them look like pasta?

The cooking oil was used to cook fish! I have soaked the item overnight, but it didn't remove the stain - and it still smells of fish.

My AC compressor and furnace are 18 years old. They seem to work fine, but I have high electricity bills (I live in the southern USA, average outdoor temps in the 90s). I have some extra money right now and trying to decide if I should take the opportunity to upgrade.

What sort of improvement will I see on my electricity bill? Am I better off to put that money in the bank and just waiting until I need to replace the old system?

I have an area in my garden that never ever gets sun. I would like to put some nice plants in big pots in that area, if that's possible. Does anyone have any ideas about plants that thrive in shade-only areas, preferably plants that can live in a pot.

all seemed fine. I reset all to make sure, no help. I then determined which breaker controlled that room by shutting off all, then turning them on 1 by 1 until I found the 2 that didn't seem to turn anything on. I tried new breakers in these 2 slots, but nothing. any suggestions?

I took this picture of a flower, and I'm having trouble finding out what it is. It's purple with petals, and has some sort of spikey center. You can view the photograph at the website below -

I seeded with what I had in the garage, which is probably 3 years old, and so far.....nothing, so I'm wondering.

I moved into a new house last year. The grass is already grown, but the ground was not level, so when I cut the grass, I get bald spots when the wheels of the mower goes into a lower area. I do not want to put soil and grass seeds over the lower areas because there are too many to do. I was wondering "if" I water my lawn so much, if I can then take some type of roller and roll over the ground and maybe this might even things out. Any ideas?

My work has fruit flies and the garbage is taken care of all the time and this happens every summer. I have new boss and no one else has ever taken care of this. We can not determine the problem on how this can be happening. Things have shaped up alot in the last 6 months so I guess this is next on our to do list.
We just noticed them flies yesterday, and the break room is clean.

Sorry if this seems dumb. This year this "fly" will not be avoided. I guess the break room is usually avoided till the flies are gone.
