how do I repair a "run" in a hand hooked rug?

a hand hooked rug is made with small ( approx 3") pieces of wool. If your carpet has a run in it then it most likely is not hand hooked. The best way to repair it yourself is to find the same kind of material used to make it and then using a carpet needle and re-thread it into the backing material as best you can. Good luck.
