I think you mean dry garlic....
Use the same bag onions come in at the grocery store and place the garlic cloves (what grows after the flowers are done - cut them off the stalk when they are big and swollen), and hang the bag up where air will circulate around it and not freeze. (basements are o.k. , garages are not - too cold and too dry.) When the outside "skin" is crispy to the touch and flakes (like an onion skin) they are good to go!! Use them in good health!

p.s. You can also use the leg part from a pair of pantyhose. I do this and place a clove in and tie a knot, place another one in and tie a knot. That way I just keep cutting off the bottom clove and it's fast and easy!

after you work the soild loose enough,, poke a hole with your finger so that the pointed end is 1 inch below the surface,, then push the dirt back over the hole and lightly tamp it down,,as said before,, garlic is fairly easy to grow,,

well 16 yrs ago i took one garlic bulb planted it in the ground roughly 2inch deep. now i have a circle about 3ft around. makes cooked food sooooo much better ;]

Just stick it in the ground and water it. It will take over. It grows very easy. At least it does here in the South.

Yep, just chuck the seeds in the ground. The great thing is that slugs won't touch it!
