Roaches are hard to get rid of. But, you can try to do the following:
Mix some boric acid with some powder sugar-you could try the boric acid by itself, but adding the powder sugar seems to enhance the effectiveness of it. You can either use it dry-pour it in a baggy with just a tiny bit of one corner cut out-and pour it out-then use a little paint brush to get in cracks and crevices. You can pour some in bottle caps don't forget to put behind appliances
Or you can make a paste -add the mixture with some water and either form little balls-or just "paint" the mixture along cracks, etc. Be especially sure to use it around water sources.
Also, I was just reading where you can take some dish soap and mix it with water in a spray bottle and spray it around. Then wipe the area dry. According to this Woman's Day Magazine article, the mixture eliminates the chemical residue the bugs leave behind. This residue is like a signal they use to let other bugs know to go there as well. So, if you get rid of the odor-the other roaches won't know where to go.

I have bug problems alot in the winter and early summer. What I found to work best is to have the bug man come out every 3 to 6 months and spray around the outside of my home. I dont allow him to spray inside due to my daughter. I also keep my kitchen as clean as possible. Dishes washed every night, snacks such as cookies put in sealable containers. I also keep my papers to a minimum, like old mail or newspapers they seem to attract roaches as well. You may even think about pulling your stove away from the wall and cleaning the floor and behind the stove. Food builds up behind ther after a while.
