GLASS MELTS AT 2150 DEGREES F. YOU GOTTA HAVE A PRETTY HOT OVEN OR A KILN

I melt glass in my kiln at 830degrees Centigrade. It is not that safe for someone who isn't aware of the potential dangers such working with extreme heat and splintering or shattering glass (which happens occasionally) to attempt. Hope this helps you decide not to try it in an oven!

No, the degree of heat to melt glass is too high. That's why glass blowers use torches.

I've melted glass in a small bonfire before (beer bottles). You can flatten or stretch them whle they're hot.

No, but it sounds messy. And dangerous. Be careful!
Melted glass will probably stick to your skin and burn you bad!
