prepare hard clay soil for grass?

If you have a large area to prepare its going to take alittle work.you can amend the soil by adding manure(well aged)or another organic matter to loosen it up ....clay actually is a good thing because it has alot of nutriant.....but it doesnt drain
If you arent in a great hurry,you can seed it with clover(green manure)and plow it under in the fall.....then seed your lawn.
