How about a Lighthouse? My grand mother had a small well that she wanted covered. This well had a 'status' light that needed to be visible should the well quit or have other problems. I designed and built a lighthouse that covered the well and placed the 'status light' in a 'window' of the tower on the side facing the house. Since there was a pump out there, rigging a light on top was snap. I used a design that had a keepers' house connected to the tower in order to cover the pump. It has worked well and while a bit expensive, it went very will with the bay front home curb apeal.

Hope this helps!
