PUT A WHITE PILLOWCASE DOWN ON THE FLOOR. STAY AWAY FROM THE AREA FOR A WHILE. GO BACK & LOOK AT IT AND YOU CAN BETTER IDENTIFY IT THEN. (THEY ARE EASIER SEEN ON WHITE). IF NOT WHAT YOU THINK IS A FLEA, TRY TO CAPTURE SOME (NOT SQUISHED PLEASE) AND PUT IN A PILL BOTTLE. TAKE TO A REPUTABLE PEST CONTROL COMPANY & HAVE THEM IDENTIFIED. MOST WILL DO SO FOR FREE. THEY WILL GIVE YOU A FREE ESTIMATE VERBALLY BUT MAY WANT TO COME TO THE HOUSE. CHECK AROUND AS MANY WILL DO SO FREE ALSO. AS THE HOMEOWNER, YOU SHOULD VACUUM THOROUGHLY SEVERAL TIMES. ALSO, THIS MEANS PICKING UP TOYS, MOVING FURNITURE, ETC. IF YOU HIRE IT DONE, Q U I T USING CHEMICALS. IT WILL INTERACT WITH THEIRS AND NOT BE EFFECTIVE. TAKE YOUR PETS AND GET THEM TREATED THE SAME DAY YOU VACUUM AND HAVE THE PEST CONTROL COMPANY COME IN. DEPENDING ON WEATHER CONDITIONS AND HUMIDITY THE EGGS IN CARPETING WILL HATCH SHORTLY AND YOU WILL GO THRU THIS PROCESS USUALLY ONE MORE TIME. GOOD LUCK TO YOU & DONT' GIVE UP.

have pets, if any, kept free of ticks or others, spray well the areas, mostly in dusty corners, and changed one brand of repellants or insecticides to another. Some species gets accustomed and developed resistance to such chemicals. Then, remember to spray or apply again the chemicals after 7 or 10 days since, if ever the adults were eradicated totally in the initial applications, the eggs are not destroyed. So apply again.

7-dust works well - if you do not have pets or children. Try Borax - the laundry detergent additive. If they are what I think they are - it should kill them. Sprinkle all over the floor, furniture, etc. Leave 30 min and vacuum. Make sure you spray outside the door, on steps, yard, etc. Keep kids or pets inside for drying time and then they should be OK. If this doesn't work - call an exterminator.

You need to call an exterminator. Household repellents and sprays are highly toxic! Call a professional. And wash everything in bleach!
Good luck! And eat more peanut butter!
