Why would someone give a answer that they know would be damaging. I sent a question out of curiousity concerning something that my neighbor use to do to his trees. This question was not for myself. I would never take a knife as Ric5397 suggested that you do to stimulate grow. Simple love and care and good fertilizer will do the job. Never give damaging answers or damaging advice when you know it will hurt someone or something.

They usually die after 1 month or they would not have flowers at all. Unlike, dendrobiums that I can make them flower easily. The cattleya that im buying are not new cuttings but an established plants that the owners says its almost 1 year old, and I know its true. I water them 2x a days, exposed to sunlight for 2 hours/day and sprays fertilizers once a week.

.....Something that covers
the different types of plants,
how to plant them, and
most favorable conditions for each
.....pretty much the basics.

Also, and additional book suggestion on estate landscape design would be truly appreciated.

I am a 3rd shift worker, obvisously meaning I have to sleep during the day. I am looking for a more convienient way to make my bedroom very dark other than putting tin foil up on the windows. Is there a paint of some sort that I can use to where it makes it really dark but yet me still being able to use my windows to see out of? If not what would you suggest??
