It might depend on your state laws. If u are making excessive noise or if the garage is too crowded then there might be laws to keep u from using your garage as a meeting place. If it is crowded then there is a possible fire hazard and if u are making too much noise then you might be considered disturbing the peace.

Not that I know of, I used my garage loads when I was wee, it is never used to keep the car in- most people use the garage for other purposes.
If you are concerned try speaking to your local authority- you'll find the address and phone number in the bt phone book at the front bit

There are some neighborhood associations that fine people for having a clothesline! You'd have to check local ordinances, but I can't imagine the police driving around looking to make sure that everyone is putting their car in their garage!

It is your property and can be used as a place for the teenagers to hang around as long as they are not disturbing the peace of the neighbours. I always loved having the teenagers at my house and not on the street corners.

Yes it is against the law if it is used as a place for meetings . all states have laws pertaining to places of meetings that address such things as square footage required per person , fire protection, required exits, and combustible building material ,etc .Check with your local code enforcement officer

I do not know of such a law. What of my lawn mower!

If your garage is being used as a club, with paid entry then you would need an entertainment licience otherwise I hope they have fun.

depends really. if you have decked it out with amminities then it does become illegal. on the other hand if it is still used as a garage (i.e. you still store stuff in there) then there is no problem. basically i think your fine and whoever told you its against the law is just being a pain in the ****

I don't think so - why should it be? I wish more parents would think about their children like this - you see so many young people standing about on street corners - I think more poeplke should consider allowing their children to use a garage.

As long as it is safe, obviously!

No, It is NOT against the law. NOT in the USA anyway. (NOT YET) It is your garage and as long as your not doing anything illegal there isn't a problem.

No. Unless they are using it to do anything likre smoking/growing dugs, storing stolen goods. Then you will be in as much trouble with the law as they are.
