I just purchased Scotts Fertilizer (29/3/4) for my lawn (in addition to another brand of fertilizer). I've already used the competing brand for one full pass and now with Scotts Im applying it perpendicular to the competing brand to make a second pass. (Im using 2 diff brands because I had the competing brand first with all intentions of using it for the entire lawn but was given the opportunity to use Scotts later).

My question is with the fertilizer applied to the lawn how much water should I drench it with? We have an automatic sprinkler system and I was considering having it run for 1hours time tonite, then 30 min each nite onward. Is this acceptable or could i be in risk of fertilizer burn?

Thank you.

Would you recommend Pella, Anderson, WeatherShield, etc? Which ones will last the longest? What brand should we stay way from?

There is a glass storm door to "keep in" the air-conditing, and copper weatherstripping on three edges. The storm door makes the closure more "air-tight", and I have considered putting in the screen, but prefer not to do this during summer or winter for a variety of reasons.

I have thought about "screwing down" some of the weatherstripping, and would prefer not to have to "shave down" the sides of the door to make it smaller, as this is a job that would probably require a carpenter. An alternative would be a steel door, but I prefer the wood.

Is there some simple fix?

Thank you!

It stopped working for no reason.I flip the switch and hear a buzzing sound, but it is not chopping. Also my drain is not working well.It is draining very slowly.I stuck my hand in to see if something was blocking it and there is nothing there.I did not stick anything weird down there, so I don't know what is wrong.

I have a fireproof safe. Some of the papers in it seem to be getting a slightly musty smell. The room it's in is dry enough. Is there something you can put in there to take moisture out of the air?

I have been given an old outhouse I'm turning in to a garden tool shed. I'ts been in my yard for awhile and I'm finally getting around to fixing it up. I noticed the nests a little while ago and am too impatient to run to the store. Don't know if they came with it or are recent home builders. I was wondering if anything like PB blaster would work? Thanks

The grasshoppers are small, possably babies and they're light green in color. They're eating all her flowers and it seems that's all they appear to be eating.

Help please! My house is very dusty! I find myself dusting almost everyday. It is the same in the winter when the house is closed up or in the summer when the windows are open. Any ideas on how I can cut some of this dusting down?
