i had to sleep on one at my mom's also. the only way i found to make it comfortable was to throw it out the window and sleep on the couch, or go to my brother's.

That's hard to say, i have laid on those things too and i agree they are uncomfortable as ever ! I have discovered that if the things get the tinest hole in them that you can't see with the naked eye it begins to deflate itself slowwwwwwwly but surely you will find yourself on the floor haha lol !! So first of all make sure it's inflated good and check for those small holes in the mattress and then try putting some exta coollll < literally that's hot covers make for very uncomfortable sleep time if at all that is. It is hard to sleep when it's hot so get the room cooled at teast two-three hours before bed time that helps too and remember what i said about the mattress there. hope this helps you.

You can buy those thick padding's you put over a regular mattress to make them more comfy.I have one on my bed now and it has helped me allot. It is like a a fitted sheet but with extra padding for the sleep area.Check mattress warehouses or any place that sells bedding. It's like sleeping on a thick quilt or a downy blanket.

I had to sleep on one at my moms once, I would wake up at 4 AM and my butt would be touching the floor with my legs and head barely cushioned by air. I would give the people around you a guilt trip about sleeping on their mattress until they agree to sleep on the floor.

I don't like them much either. I always inflate them as firm as I can get them and then throw a couple blankets on top so that I don't get all sweaty because my skin can't breathe. Skin on rubber = sweaty.

Try if you have one putting it on a cot our lounge chair. to keep it up off the ground/floor. remember to keep it inflated well . and use sleeping bags that would keep the dampness away from you. and also try not to think about it too much.

If its a bad one, there's not much you can do except pile on blankets as a matress pad. Or ask your host to sleep in their bed.
