Ok, so here's the scenario....we were decorating out toddlers room and painted the top and bottom half of the room in two different colors and hung an expensive wallpaper border. He started tearing down the border, so I bought more and some thin moulding to keep him from tearing it down. He is now tearing down the moulding and border. So I think I need to just take down the border and possibly try using just a heavy moulding with liquid nails and a nail gun. The thing is...we have already wasted about $150 dollars and the wallpaper remover is going to cost us another $15 dollars and of course we still have to buy the heavier moulding and liquid nails.

So, is there a cheaper way to remove wall paper with some normal household products or something?

I usually get to the dump befpre this happens, but am a bit behind, you could say. My garbage is stacked all neatly along the garage inside wall, but I know that neatness has nothing to do with it. Time is the factor here. Alright troops! Listen up! A few flys did the dirty deed in a garbage bag and now we have our very own 2006 Maggot Convention in session as I speak, under the roof of this garage. Is there anything I can do to kill them before I can get to the dump in about six hours?

Thanks for your time. . .

Matt

during day time pigeons drink at the pool and there are bird droppings all over the sides and feathers in the water. At night frogs and toads swim around and some times lay eggs in the pool. Its pretty disgusting to swim in the water and i have drained my pool even though it is summers here. Any suggestions will be very welcome....

I just purchased a house that is new construction. Some people are telling me not to paint for the first year because the place needs to settle and there may be cracks. Others are telling me to go ahead and paint. Any advice on what I should do?

I'm trying to budget & was wondering how much it is really going to be a month. Typically, is the water & electric bill included in the rent when you are in an apartment?

I'm not selling them I just want a few more for my yard.

While I was at a nursery today I couldn't find a plant that I wanted; an employee there told me it was very hard to find. I then said something about propgating another one and the owner of the nursery almost flipped her lid and told me "all plants are patented and it's illegal to propagate them unless you have a license to do so".

Something about that didn't sit right with me so I'm wondering if that's true. I'm sure you can patent a name, but can you patent a plant?

We are buying our first home and are not sure what, if anything ,we should just deal with. There are some little things that we are not sure if we shoudl hassle about such as two small dents at the very bottom of the garage door or nicks in the door jams or chips in tile. Is it reasonable for us to request them to fix every little imperfection?

The upper level is usually normal, but the lower level is always cold that you cant tay down there for long. The hot air circulation is very poor. If you put your hands closer to the vents yuo feel the hot air but doesnt circulate properly. Can some one tell me what might be the cause ?

I asked this question earlier, but i described the insects as worm-like. Upon closer examination i realized they are not worm like. The are normal segmented insects with 6 legs. There rear-segment is white and is about 4 mm long (altogether, the insect is about 7-8mm). Their mid segment is brown. Their head black on top and brown on bottom. They have very tiny antennas.
All the way down their backs are tiny brownish black rectangles (i don't know how else to describe them). I saw them when i went to smoke, there were hundreds of them. The seem to have a soft exoskeleton because they do not crunch, and they squish to be a translucent leaf-shaped object. Does anyone know what they are.
(I live in Lubbock, Tx, if that helps any)
