Use a blow dryer (on hot setting) to melt the wax, then immediately put a paper towel over the candle wax to absord the melted wax. Keep repeating the process until the wax has been lifted out of the carpet.

I've done it!!!!! Here is the solution and it works fantastic!
Put a heavy papertowel (like Viva) over the wax and go over it with a hot iron. Obviously, you have to keep repeating the process until you get it all, but once you get the wax out you can clean with any Oxy type spot cleaner.
Good Luck!

Chip as much as you can away then place a brown paper bag over the area and press a hot iron to the paper. the wax will melt and will be absorbed by the paper. Remove remaining residue with detergent solution

I've done this MANY times!!
Soak a papertowel, place it over the dried candle wax, press a hot iron down on top of the wet papertowel.
The wax will adhere to the papertowel :o)

It should just peel if slightly warmed. Maybe use a flashlight or hair dryer to do this. Or get some of that Goo Be Gone. Its in household cleaners. It gets gum and just about anything else out of anything else!!
