Major nuisance. Had the same problem but the past 2 years I haven't seen very many . We mix a strong solution of dish liquid or shampoo and water in a spray bottle. During the day we spray outside around the joins and seams of our decks or any where we think they may be hiding. We spray in the day because they hide in large numbers and we get a lot of them at a timeThe soap kills them in seconds. It's unbelievable how many can be in one small space. Check the seals on your doors and windows as well . Make sure there are no openings they can get in through. Good luck. You won't get rid of them entirely but, you can control them.

i have the same problem, im on here looking for the same thing, wut ive found is to spray insepticides or whatever outside n then git those spray things for your house and let them off when you leave for a while like to work. wait about a week, then do it again. i guess it works best to do it at night because they're nocternal so they'll come out and then it'll kill em. you can also set up traps for them, like take a cardboard box and poke pencil holes n them and then put like an empty tuna can and fill it will oatmeal or beer or even water with a tablespoon of veggie oil and then put the can in the box over nite and it will attract them n kill them. the water n veggie oil will work good cuz they like moisture so they will climb into the can of water but with the veggie oil they wont be able to escape back out of it. hope this has helped you cuz its helped me.

PS: they really wont climb in your ears, my bedroom is in the basement of my house and its never happend, ive never even seen one in my room, just coming up my drain in the bathroom so dont sweat it. it is important to git rid of them cuz they can secrete a oil that smells like crap. they will not mate in ur house, theyre in your house to hide. when its hot out, they come indoors to hide, they like moist dark areas. they're virtually harmless too humans but they do bite, i was bit last year in my pool and swelled up like an apple. lol ok i think im really done now
good luck!
