Pick a corner or an edge of the wallpaper and try to peel it off using your hands, a putty knife or a wallpaper scraper. Some papers are designed to simply peel off.
If the paper doesn't peel off, or if the pattern comes away but the backing remains, score the paper lightly using a razor blade or a wallpaper-scoring tool. Be careful not to cut into the drywall or plaster underneath.
Apply plain water, water mixed with a mild household soap, or a commercial solution of a wallpaper remover to the wall using a paint roller, squirt gun or large sponge. Saturate the wall several times if necessary; the paper will absorb the water until the glue begins to loosen.
Alternatively, rent or buy a wallpaper steamer. Take care - steamers get very hot.
( Or you could try using a blow dryer but it might take a while )
Try again to pull the paper off with your hands. You might still have to use a scraper or putty knife, however.
Wash away as much of the glue as possible, until you are down to the original painted or primed wall. You might have to use a heavy-duty scouring pad. Wait until the wall is dry and use sandpaper to sand off what remains of the paper, backing or glue.
Tips:
If the wallpaper resists your efforts, sand it with very coarse sandpaper (50, 60 or 80 grit).

It is simple and cheap to remove the boarder, as long as the wall had a coat of paint on it prior to you putting it up. If this was recently put up, it's likely to be a 2 piece boarder, meaning vinyl top, paper backing. If it is, just peel of the vinyl top part leaving the paper stuck to the wall, then get a spray bottle and fill it with hot water. Soak the paper backing at least 2 times to loosen the glue prior to scraping it off with a flexible putty knife. Be careful though, the wall is wet so the putty knife will dig into the Sheetrock if you don't take your time. If it is a 1 piece boarder, get a Paper Tiger at your local paint store and some Diffs wallpaper remover and do the same with the putty knife.

it really is person-friendly and inexpensive to get rid of the boarder, see you later because the wall had a coat of paint on it previous to you putting it up. If this become at the moment put up, it really is in all probability to be a 2 piece boarder, which skill vinyl good, paper backing. even if it really is, only peel of the vinyl good section leaving the paper stuck to the wall, then get a twig bottle and fill it with warm water. Soak the paper backing a minimum of two cases to loosen the glue previous to scraping it off with a versatile putty knife. be careful besides the undeniable fact that, the wall is moist so the putty knife will dig into the Sheetrock in case you do not take a at the same time as. even if it really is a a million piece boarder, get a Paper Tiger at your close by paint save and some Diffs wallpaper remover and do an same with the putty knife.
