well depends on how dark or light the wood is. i would say go w/ a light color or white. i have light colored oak wood floors in my house w/ bright white walls.

If you want to showcase your rich NATURAL wood floor, white paint for the walls is ok, so long as you are willing to use some strikingly bold colors (on drapery and other elements) to complement the white walls. It can be tricky, but it can work.
Of course it is safer to use a warm light beige instead of stark white. It is much easier to pull the elements together if the colors are not as contrasting.
If you want to preview the effect you want, visit some boutiques or stores. In stores, the walls are usually stark white and some of the stores have wooden floors. Do some window shopping. :)

Wood is something you found in the nature, so naturally it will go well with almost any natural tones, white (cloud) included. But it may be too pale (like a hospital) if you use white all around. Consider going with a cloud-sky-moon theme, pick an off-white color with a touch of blue.
For bedroom, try to stay away from red/orange, it will make you restless. If you have a small room, don't use a green tone either, it will make your room looks smaller.

Chorme yellow will be a better color for the wall with a wooden floor. Since the color is going to affect you in a subconsious way, I think it will be better to think couple of things before you go for a color. if it is a living room, yellow is better becouse it is an energetic color and will splash a friendly ambience with the right setup of ligts. Red is also a good color but not to a wide area. if you have a wide area go for a neutra pastel color preferably from yellow family to match with your wood color. YOUR ROOM, MAKE IT LIKE A WORK OF ART! all the best

Wooden flooring is a neutral color and neutrals look good with anything, Get crazy and appy your uniqueness to your room., Whatever you like will go great with wood floors (exept maybe a big pink fluffy houseshoe rug) or something equally dumb

if it;s a dark wood, creams and beiges work well. A light floor, usually something darker or very light. My suggestion is to grab a bunch of colour chips from your local harware store and take them home to test. Usually a contrast is in order, but it all depends on the colour of your floor.

Off white, cream, sand, honey. Nothing too saturated, wood and earth tones. A light beige, maybe. Really a matter of personal preference.
