Chances are that the battery charger charges a 24volt battery. The motor is designed to run using a 24 volt current. If you hooked an extension cord to a normal 110 volt outlet and connected it directly to the motor, you would quickly burn up the motor. The voltage may differ on your unit, but the principle stiil applies.

In the end, the answer is no.
